Background of the organisation
Established in 2012 in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur, 'Praramva' is a leading social organisation inspired by a charitable spirit of service to Nepal and the Nepali people. The organisation was founded under the leadership of Kalpana Kshetri, a social worker and successful woman entrepreneur who returned home after more than two decades in the United States. Active since its founding in education, health, agriculture, tourism and improving citizens' quality of life, Praramva has been working with the aim of bringing sustainable and positive change to society.
Our vision
A self-reliant, healthy and educated society, where our charitable collaboration can contribute by directly supporting communities in urgent need and those left behind, in ways that give lasting results.

Our mission
We want to do effective work in education, health, infrastructure and livelihoods. Our mission is, through our efforts, to help rural areas and disaster-affected communities, raise their morale and bring smiles to their faces. Along with that, we want ordinary citizens to have access to education and health.

'Praramva Model House', our long-term project

We set out on our social journey with the resolve that Praramva is itself the beginning of change. We understand that the core service-minded plans our efforts have given communities so far, and the achievements we have gained, have brought some change to society. With this understanding and aspiration, we want to produce some skilled, experienced and capable people in Nepal under our leadership. We teach each person whatever they know and whatever they want to do. We want to give shelter, with dignity, to people with disabilities, people with special abilities, single women and people affected by natural disasters. We want to give them jobs. We want to connect them to income through skills-based training. We want to build a school, rich in values, for studying language and practical knowledge. For this, we want to build a language training and technical training centre, a safe house, or a 'model house' for home-made products, and run it as a long-term plan. This is the core spirit behind Praramva's founding and the organisation's dream. Praramva has taken this on as its 'long-term project'. Our success is tied to its success.
